The Project has been such a success that a Birthing Kit Foundation has been formed to oversee the everyday running of the Birthing Kit Project for all clubs and interested organisations. The National Foundation for Australian Women (NFAW) has given permission for the Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) to use their organization to achieve tax deductibility for donations for the Birthing Kit Project.

The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) has established a “Birthing Kit Foundation Preferred Donor Fund” with NFAW.

As the Foundation now administers the Birthing Kit Project, buying all the contents and paying all the transport costs, we are now directing all donations to NFAW to the Birthing Kit Foundation Preferred Donor Fund.

This process will allow tax deductibility of donations to the Birthing Kit Project.
